On behalf of the Greater New Orleans Foundation, I want to thank you for your immediate response to the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

Proceeds from this fund will support work that helps the communities most affected by the oil spill in Plaquemines, St. Bernard, and lower Jefferson Parishes. As for long-term recovery efforts, the Gulf Coast Oil Spill Fund will help strengthen coastal communities against future environmental catastrophes such as BP's Horizon oil spill which occurred on April 20, 2010.

As part of our campaign to bring awareness to this issue, we are asking all contributors "Why did you give to this fund?" Responses will be posted on our website. Please know this is optional, and quotes can be anonymous.
